SharkNinja has launched a new personal cooling device called the Shark ChillPill. It functions as a battery-powered fan but differentiates itself with two key accessories: a mister for evaporative cooling and a metal cooling plate that can be pressed against the skin to lower its temperature.

The ChillPill is available today for $149.99 exclusively through Amazon, but starting on March 11th it will also be available through Shark’s online store and other retailers. Color options include carbon, dragonfruit, glacier, haze, iced latte, matcha, and rose gold. On its own the ChillPill functions as a battery-powered fan with 10 adjustable speeds that top out at 25 feet per second. At the lowest setting the ChillPill has an estimated runtime of up to 11 hours, but at full power that drops to just an hour-and-a-half.
The two bundled accessories include a mister that adds a light spray of water that further cools the air and skin, but the built-in water reservoir is relatively small. It can only continuously mist for about 10 minutes before needing a refill, but you can switch to an interval misting option so it lasts longer. The other accessory is a “cryo-inspired” metal cooling plate that can be pressed directly against your skin like an ice pack. SharkNinja says it can lower skin temperature by up to 16 degrees Fahrenheit in seconds, and unlike an ice pack, will last as long as the ChillPill’s battery holds up.
