Satechi has released a redesigned, foldable stand and hub for iPads and other USB-C devices, priced at $79.99. It is more portable than its predecessor and compatible with iPads from 2021 onward, plus other mobile devices and laptops.
The product combines a travel-friendly stand with a hub that adds significant connectivity, including HDMI, SD card readers, USB ports, and power delivery. This allows a tablet to function as a more capable remote workstation with expanded display, data transfer, and charging options.
The main topics covered are the product announcement, its price and availability, its improved portability and compatibility, and its dual function as a stand and connectivity hub.
Satechi has announced a redesigned version of the iPad Pro stand with USB-C hub functionality it launched nearly five years ago that’s smaller and easier to travel with. The new OntheGo Foldable Stand Hub is available now through Satechi’s online store and Amazon for $79.99 in space black. While the original was specifically designed for iPad Pro models, Satechi says the new stand hub will work with all iPads released after 2021, as well as other USB-C mobile devices and laptops.

A stand that folds flat for travel can be used to prop up and turn tablets and smartphones into makeshift monitors, while the hub connects to those devices using a short built-in USB-C cable that can be stored underneath it.
The expanded connectivity includes a 4K/60Hz HDMI port for using a device with a larger screen, SD and microSD card readers, USB-C and USB-A ports supporting up to 10Gbps file transfers, and 100W power delivery passthrough so paired devices can still charge. There’s even a 3.5mm audio jack that can be used to connect wired headphones or a wired microphone.
