A new edition of the TIC Governo survey has begun collecting data on the use of digital technologies within the Brazilian public sector. Conducted biennially by Cetic.br, the research monitors ICT infrastructure, digital service provision, and the use of technology for public access to information and social participation across all levels and branches of government.
The data collection is carried out via telephone interviews by the Ipsos-Ipec institute, with the identities of both participants and their institutions kept confidential. The current edition is the seventh in a series dating back to 2013 and receives institutional support from the federal government's Digital Government Secretariat.
The main topics covered are the launch of the TIC Governo survey, its methodology and confidentiality, its historical purpose of monitoring public sector digitalization, and the supporting institutions involved.
